Creation of common catalogue service and corporative e-mail system
Open Technologies, Russian system integrator, announced about the victory in a tender and initiation of common catalogue service and corporative e-mail system for The Third Generating Company of Power Market (OGK-3).
The Third Generating Company of Power Market OJSC has the geographically distributed structure including the Executive administration in Moscow and 6 branches on the territory of the RF. At the moment various e-mail systems are used in various e-mail systems.
The tender assignment provided for creation of general system of corporative electronic mail as well as common catalogue service.
During the project the specialists of Open Technologies will examine and analyze the existing IT-infrastructure of the customer, design and deploy the common catalogue service and corporative e-mail system; provide for migration of registration details from old systems to the new one.
Creation of common catalogue service and corporative e-mail system in OGK-3 OJSC will allow solving the following objectives:
- Unification of all mail services into a single corporative structure (creation of common address book, common storage of user accounts, provision of centralized access to the information);
- Сreation of reliable unified internal communication media fro the personnel;
- Provision of effective use of the information resources.
The architectural design of the future system will take into account the existing technical resources providing for lower introduction and development costs.
MS Active Directory и MS Exchange Server software produced by Microsoft will be used. The technical complex will be based on Fujitsu Siemens Computers equipment (PRIMERGY servers and FibreCAT SX6 storage systems).
" Hopefully, the new system will provide the client with m high level of service and safe exchange in electronic messages, guarantee the accessibility of mail services for the personnel and raise the efficiency of business processes", said Vitaly Chumano, manager on corporate clients at Open Technologies.
The project will be finished by October 2008.
